SPECIAL SPESSION

 
       
       
   

It is a pleasure to announce the initiative of a special session organized during ISEF’13 in Ohrid, Macedonia.  The session is to be dedicated to bioelectromagnetic problems. The idea of such a session was taken up several years ago and gained considerable attention and interest of outstanding researchers in this area. Thus, the Organizers of ISEF’13 have resolved to establish a special session:

BIOELECTROMAGNETISM – PHENOMENA AND MODELING

The session will be co-chaired by Dr Masateru Ikehata from Japan and Prof. Andrzej Krawczyk, the Scientific Secretary of International Steering Committee of ISEF, involved as coordinator of this session.

Besides the presentations it will contain the panel discussion or round-table discussion in order to enable favourable exchange of ideas and thoughts on the problems presented within the session. Another aim of the session is the instigation of further and more intensive engagement in spreading the results of research in the area in question, i.e. the dyad: electromagnetic field and biological organism. 

Papers dealing with the following problems of:

  • Biological and physical foundations of bioelectromagnetic interactions
  • Medical applications of electromagnetic field
  • Applications of electromagnetic field in Biomedical Engineering
  • Simulations of electromagnetic field in biological matter

are especially welcome but some innovative topics are admitted too.

The papers submitted to this special session are under the same procedure for all conference publications as other papers submitted to ISEF2013.

The Organizers would express hope that the debates during the special session  will lead to the establishment of the initiative group an initiative group  expected to  continue the discussion and to constitute  the forum for all interested in the issues, giving them the opportunity  present their ideas.  We will aim at working out our mutual standpoint published in the special report formed on the basis of the session presentations and debates.  

Depending on the number of papers we will receive the session will be organized as oral or poster.
